the hot list: feelgood beauty and fashion buys
Ready to get shopping? (Picture:

As non-essential shops reopen, we’re more than ready to get spending.

But once we’ve covered that long-needed haircut and brow appointment, what’s next on our shopping list?

The answer, we reckon, lies in all things fashion and beauty.

After all, we’re getting ready to properly reenter the world, heading back to the office and seeing our friends outside of a Zoom screen for the first time in ages.

After all that time cooped up inside, we’ll want to look and feel great.

So, this week’s Hot List is all about that vibe, with feelgood style picks to buy now.

Time to ring the changes

The perfect statement earring (Picture: Annika Inez)

Heart Series, the new collection by Brooklyn-based Swedish jewellery designer Annika Inez, has a tactile, earthy, almost pebble-like quality, designed to feel sensual and rooted in well-being.

The result is a sophisticated and grown-up take on the classic shape, with necklaces and rings from £105 and the heart hoop earrings — our favourites — from £140.

For every piece sold from the collection, Annika will donate one hot meal to refugees through the charity Choose Love.

Tangerine dream

Rejina Pyo has created a capsule collection for & Other Stories, inspired by the strength and creativity of women.

The shapes, colours, textures and materials also take their cue from nature — think modern, sculptural dresses, a knotted front top, tailored jackets, with details such as exaggerated puff shoulders and dropped waists that complement the organic lines.

The tangerine halter neck dress, £165, and lime knotted top, £85, get our vote for summer’s must-haves. From £55,

Grab that extra shot of caffeine

For natural, healthier looking skin this spring, a lighter base is a no-brainer. The new Marc Jacobs Extra Shot Caffeine Concealer and Foundation comes in 30 shades so that you can find the perfect barely-there coverage, in the places that you need it.

Infused with caffeine, oat extract and coconut, it will leave your skin feeling hydrated, brighter and looking more energised. £30,

Nature calls

A solid choice

Ditching plastic is becoming a priority for beauty brands and Faith In Nature is a pioneer of natural, ethical products, so its new Dragon Fruit Conditioner Bar is a welcome addition to the range.

Not only is the conditioner vegan, and paraben and SLS-free, it’s also plastic-free — and the packaging is 100 per cent recycled and recyclable. £6.99,

A holistic approach

Shops are open again and we’re excited

Fenwick reopened its flagship London store this week with a new holistic, active, wellness and mindfulness hub, The Studio, which will also house the vibrant new vegan dining restaurant 123V with Alexis Gauthier (offering all-day al fresco dining).

Expect plenty of activewear fashion brands, including Sunspel, Free People Movement and sustainable sneaker brand On, alongside beauty brands such as The Beauty Chef and Neom, plus ethical food and drink from the Wellness Market.
