Eco Haul from Mint Green – Vegan Beauty Review | Vegan and Cruelty-Free Beauty, Fashion, Food, and Lifestyle : Vegan Beauty Review
I love that planet-friendly shopping is a growing trend and that we have plenty of resources and accessibility these days! I was recently reached out to by eco & vegan-friendly online store Mint Green to check out their selection of their home and beauty stuffs, and I picked out a few things I wanted to try out and share with you guys.
First up:
KiKi Health Activated Charcoal Powder
I’ve been a fan of activated charcoal for years! It’s a wonderful natural detoxifier and has been known to help treat poisoning, upset stomach, intestinal gas, high cholesterol levels, and even hangovers. This particular AC powder is produced from coconuts which have been purified with steam to remove any contaminants for use as a pharmaceutical active ingredient. It is a finely reduced powder (5-10 microns), which presents a huge surface area for the absorption of unwanted substances, making it incredibly active. There’s only one ingredient: 100% Activated Charcoal. Badda bing, badda boom!
Next up:
Kiki Health Organic 8 Mushroom Exctract Blend 60 Vegicaps
The power of mushrooms is uncontested! Each mushroom has different properties – some promote gut health, others immunity, some are anti-inflammatory, some help boost brain function… Now imagine a mighty mushroom cocktail including the best of the best – a super convenient way to consume them at once, allowing you to reap all the benefits – that’s what this blend is!
Mushroom blend includes:
- Organic Cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris) Extract
- Organic Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) Extract
- Organic Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) Extract
- Organic Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) Extract
- Organic Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) Extract
- Organic Agaricus (Aqaricus brasiliensis) Extract
- Organic Maitake (Grifola frondosa) Extract
- Organic Auricularia (Auricularia auricula-judae) Extract
Moving on to cleaning stuffs:
ecoLiving Wooden Dish Brush (FSC 100%)
I’ve been really upping my eco kitchen game! A key piece to this was swapping out my plastic dish brush (which can shed hairs that can end up in the ocean) for one made with plant-based bristles (Tampico – a very robust fibre from the yellow leaf of the agave cactus, which grows only in the highlands of northern Mexico). It’s fully biodegradable and sustainable, and the brush head is removable and replaceable. It also has a cool look to it, to boot!
Next up:
ecoLiving Natural Latex Rubber Gloves
These gloves look like conventional rubber gloves but get this – they’re made from PLANTS! Not only are the vegan and plastic-free, they’re renewable and sustainable, biodegradable and compostable, and just as reusable and slip-resistant as their not-so-eco-friendly counterparts. The inside has a lightly dusted natural cotton velour lining to ensure the gloves are comfortable to wear. Also, as a bonus, a tree is planted for every pack sold! Available in sizes small, medium and large.
If you wanna have a little shop over at Mint Green, they’re offering VBR reader a 30% discount with coupon code SUNNY30. 🙂
