As San Antonio prepares for its massive Fiesta celebration — now 10 days away — complimentary events are cropping up all over the city. One such event is as eco-conscious as it is fashionable. The Fiesta Sustainable Fashion Show will take place on Wednesday, March 23.

In its fifth year, the public event is a collaboration between Goodwill and students from Stevens High School. Led by Northside ISD instructor Christine Donovan, the show will curate more than 20 second-hand looks by students in the school’s Entrepreneurship and Fashion Program.

Donovan was the recipient of the 2021 Texas Fashion Awards Professional of the Year award, is an Agosto Cuellar award-winning sustainable fashion designer, and serves as a Goodwill Customer Experience Manager. She has guided students to think creatively when crafting their sustainable outfits.

Ahead of the show, all participating students volunteered at local Goodwill stores to learn about sustainable fashion and retail. All looks on the Goodwill runway will be available to purchase after the show.

The showcase will begin at 6 p.m. at the Goodwill at 10422 Potranco Road.
