Activewear company, lululemon is broadening its product offering with the launch of the Hike Collection, in response to the increasing uptake of outdoor hiking during the pandemic.

Driven by functional design with a signature aesthetic, the 33-piece collection is convertible, packable, water-resistant and adapts to any environment to make hiking easier and more enjoyable. For example, specialised double-duty products such as sports bras and shorts can transform into swimwear.

In addition to lightweight and breathable fabrics, the pieces deliver abrasion-resistant seams that reduce friction, cinchable waistbands, mesh fabrications and zip on/off components for custom climate control, as well as proprietary technology innovation, LiftOS that recalibrates weight distribution and relieves pressure points.

The collection includes hiking pants, joggers, tights, shorts, skirts, pullovers, jackets, bombers, vests, tees, backpacks, sports bottles, crossbody bags, bucket hats, caps and socks.

lululemon senior vice president of design and concepts, Ben Stubbington said, “We wanted this collection to be about the functionality lululemon is known for, elevated with adaptable details for outdoor adventures like packable, lightweight layering systems, fashion-forward aesthetic and colours with abrasion-resistant, highly breathable fabrics.”

The Hike Collection is now available online at lululemon.com and in select lululemon stores.
