Hardworking Heroes You Need In Your Make Up Bag

[ad_1]

Whether you prefer a subtle glow or love a full face of glam, makeup holds a special spot in many people’s hearts. However, not all products are created equally, so we have rounded up our makeup must-haves to help you create the looks you want without any stress. Check them out below!

An Eyeshadow Palette

Look for a palette that contains your favorite go-to shades, plus some wildcard colors that you’d like to experiment with. One palette can go a long way when it comes to being creative and playing around with looks. A palette with a variety of matte and shimmery neutrals will enable you to make beautiful smoky eye makeup for a stunning date night makeup look. Bold and bright tones can be used for a fun festival face that will make you stand out from, the crowd.

False Lashes

Even if you love the natural look, a good quality set of falsies will give you a fluttery eye no matter the occasion. Look for a cruelty-free (no mink please!) brand and purchase a couple of pairs for different events so that you can always have a flirty fox eye.

Primer

Whether you prefer minimal makeup or like using multiple products at once, primer ensures that your base is nice and sticky, helping your makeup last longer. Be sure to apply to the areas where your makeup tends to slide off and you’ll have a flawless face all day! Eye primer is essential if you like to use color on your eyes. Avoid using concealer as this can actually absorb eyeshadow and cause it to melt faster. A targeted eye primer is best, opt for one that is tacky to the touch and dab your eyeshadow over the top gently.

Your Go-To Mascara

Everyone’s lashes are different, so the perfect mascara for you may vary from your friends. If you have short lashes, look for a lengthening mascara. If your lashes are long but lash volume then look for a mascara with a fan wand that will separate and lift whilst adding a boost of thickness.

Concealer

A fantastic concealer is a must for any makeup bag. There are two uses for a concealer, one to brighten and highlight and one to cover imperfections. Use the former under the eyes to cover dark circles and on the parts of your face, you would like to highlight as part of a contoured face. This concealer should be a few shades lighter than your foundation shade. Use the latter to hide any spots, scarring, or blemishes on your face. This concealer should be in the same color as your skin tone or foundation.

A Statement Lip Colour

Bold and bright lip color will elevate any makeup look, so make sure you have one handy in your makeup bag for nights out or drinks with the girls. Red is a solid choice, but if you’re feeling brave then opt for a bright pink or a dark plum to plump lips and achieve a kissable pout.

Which of these makeup heroes will you be adding to your makeup bag? Let us know in the comments!
