Fashion met food at an inaugural Fashion Expo Day Party at the Harrison County Fairgrounds.
Taste of Decadence Sweets owner Brittany Taylor threw a party to help small businesses gain exposure and network with the community.
Taylor said she wanted the community to get involved as much as possible, not only by supporting local businesses, but to have a good time with eating and dancing, key ingredients to a good party.
Ten vendors were able to display their work while a DJ mixed some tunes. The main attraction of the event was a fashion show. “I absolutely love it. I do fashion shows also and my last one was ten years ago. So, I have just been working up and building up and I just had the opportunity to do this one today. I’m nervous, but I’m really excited. It’s been long overdue.”
Taylor plans to host the event next year with more businesses involved so everyone can thrive off each other.
