As cities worldwide gather to celebrate Pride this month, there’s no reason why the celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community needs to end once July 1 rolls around. Raising up and supporting LGBTQIA+ folks is something that you can and should do year-round. If you’re a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or an ally, one easy way to show support is to shop with LGBTQIA+-owned brands that offer plus sizes.
Money talks and investing your dollars back to LGBTQIA+ -owned brands and designers allows these businesses to grow, thrive, and serve their community, all while outfitting you with some killer threads.
Since I know the frustration of finding the perfect queer fashion piece and seeing the largest size offered is only a medium, I wanted to shine a light specifically on the LGBTQIA+ -owned boutiques and designers that either offer plus sizes or cater specifically to larger-bodied babes.

6. Pride by Sammy
Pride by Sammy was founded by Sammy (she/her) “to help spread LGBTQIA+ pride! All of these designs are custom made by me, so you won’t find them anywhere else online. I created these tees in response to people in my life who have told me, “you’re just going through a phase,” or, “being gay is a choice.” I know I’m not alone in these experiences.
I wanted to make sure that all tees are produced ethically. Before printing, the tees are purchased wholesale from a 100% no sweatshop and environmentally responsible (WRAP certified) production facility and are all printed here in the U.S.
Ultimately, my goal was to create pride apparel that you’d be proud to wear.”
