Goddess of the Caribbean

Known as the Caribbean gemstone, larimar is a gorgeous ocean-blue colored stone that is found in the Caribbean, more specifically, the Dominican Republic. Some call it the “Atlantis stone” or the “dolphin stone”.

Goddess of the Caribbean

Found in 1916 by Father Miguel Domingo Fuertes Loren in the Dominican Republic, it is a rare and precious beauty.

To date, the only known major deposits of larimar are found in the Dominican Republic where it was treasured by the area’s first inhabitants, the Taino Indians.

The only known major larimar mine is in this remote, mountainous location in the Dominican province of Barahonas. This outstanding gemstone is mined from narrow crevices using primitive hand tools.

A calming gemstone associated with the crown, heart, third eye and throat chakras, it is used for physical, emotional and spiritual healing practices. It is the goddess of healing gemstones.

Coupled with a gorgeous moonstone, these 10 mm larimar stones are a part of this one-of-a-kind bracelet and are magnificent! The outstanding sterling silver (92.5) clasp is filled with cubic zirconia and super easy to put on! And the rondelle spacers are also from sterling silver and cubic zirconia. This is a heirloom piece of jewelry!
